I am thinking about replacing a seized AC compressor on my '96 Caprice. I see the service manual shows procedures for HD6/HT6 compressors, but does not state what the differences are. And I see that the online parts places show that my car takes the HD6 type. (I can get a deal on a HT6 type compressor.) Are the two interchangeable? What is the difference between the two types?
