I read somewhere on here that F41 suspension has boxed control arms. Is this true in all cases? I've got the sway bar and braces from the upper to lower control arm frame mounts but no boxed arms.

The lower arms need to be boxed for the rearend because when you bolt the sway bar on the lowers arms they will crush inward without the support of the boxed arm inserts.

Here's how to do it yourself

Front sway bar or rear or both? F41 included a rear sway bar attached to boxed arms. Perhaps you have F40 and not F41. F40 included heavier springs and shocks but no rear sway bar or boxed rear arms.

The braces that connect the upper mounting point to the lower mounting point on each side were installed with all V8/four speed cars and wasn't dependent upon the F40 or F41 packages at all.

Thanks guys. The car has both sway bars. The rear is bolted through the conrol arm horizontally with 2 bolts about 7" apart and round spacers holding the control arm ribs apart. The front sway bar is 29/64" and the rear is 7/8". Aftermarket maybe? It sure sucks not having a build sheet.

Thanks for the heads up on the braces. There are some in the classifieds that say they were for F41 suspension. I've got so much to learn about this car.

Ray - Thanks for the link. I bought a 180 amp MIG the other day. I'll be boxing the arms for sure.
