I have been looking for a 72 convert project for quite a while now when I can across this one in the classified section. I am leary of any car from lousiana especially a project car. I got a bunch more pictuers from the current owner/ seller. I think he is a dealer not an owner, but I am not sure. The only thing I have not been able to get pics of is the undercarriage/frame and interior. The interior is in storage somewhere. The owner says the frame is good, but I have been burned before and don't want it to happen again. Does anyone know this car or have any thoughts on it. I don't mind a project as I plan a full frame off. I can do just about everything myself and am planning on a few years to restore it. Thanks for any info or thoughts.

I also saw the car when it was first posted, my initial thoughts were I hope its not a flood car. The add clearly states poor condition, which means I would hope he could do better on the price. 350 car, hope he has the buildsheet, because without one, it lowers my offer even more. You will blink and have 15k plus into this thing to get it completed. It would be a nice project for the right price.

Originally he had it listed as a original 396 car. After I spoke to him I got the VIN explained it was a 350 car. He doesn't have access to walk out to the car and get the pictures of the frame that I am looking for. Normally I would walk away in a heart beat, but I like the color combination on the cowl tag. I am really looking for a complete project car because I want to know every nut and bolt is in the right spot. My chevelle now I kept finding things the previous owner hid during the sale and I don't want to deal with that again..

I saw the ad myself and was down in that neck of the wood a couple of weeks ago. I was going to at least look at the car if it was indeed a "U" car because I felt it would be worth the money. Before I went down there I rechecked the ad and saw he had changed it to a 350 car. I decided to not look at it. I had my wife with me and she would have loved me driving out of the way to go look at another car.
BTW: I also liked the color combo!!!

If it was a "U" car like he originally said I would have already grabbed it, but for a 350 I want some eyes on first. Or at least someone elses opinion who has seen cars from this area.
