Has anyone installed Global West lower control arms with the sperical ball end and Edelbrock (or Currie) upper control arms with their sperical ball end? I was wondering how this setup would work.

I have installed the GW lowers, but still have stock uppers...

There shouldn't be a problem due to the spherical ends on all 4 bars, because of the angles and the fact that the bars are pretty rigidly attached to the rearend...

I am thinking about the Edelbrock uppers, as I think this style might be the best for uppers, but I don't really see where they will help much...

I have had the rear upper Edelbrock adjustable arms since they first came out and have been very happy with them. They are the best looking of the adjustable units that I have seen and they fit great.

I ran the GW lowers with stock uppers for quite a while and really liked the setup. Last week I purchased the Edelbrock uppers to correct my pinion angle. I left my rubber bushings on the rear end for extra vibration damping. The GW/Edelbrock combo works great, no increase in ride harshness/stiffness. The Edelbrocks are nice pieces, best on the market in my opinion because they included the spherical ends on the frame side-- the upper links need to rotate as the suspension moves up and down. You also have the ability to tighten the teflon-lined spherical joint on them should they ever become loose.

Unless you have to correct a pinion angle issue I would just run the GW lowers with stock uppers with stock rubber bushings.

do the edelbrock NEW uppers (with the front spherical ball bearings, not the old adjustable uppers with poly bushings) come with the rear bearings/bushings?

All the pictures I have seen only shows the arms.

Are you supposed to use the stock rear bushings?

I was hopeing that they would have spherical bearings front AND back, but they look like the same setup as the GW lowers. It seems like if one end bound up with stock bushings, that both ends would. I don't know why the fronts would be more of a problem than the rears.

The Edelbrock adj. come with spherical balls @ the front & Poly squeek & bind for the axle. I used Moog rubber bushings @ the diff. I will say it again, I was very happy with the product.

The Edelbrock arms come with polygraphite bushings to put in the rear end, but I didn't install them. Bad experiences in the past with poly bushings in the rear, so I left my near-new rubber bushings installed in the rear end. Very happy with the GW TBC-4 lowers and the Edelbrock uppers with the rubber bushings left on the top of the rear end.
