Prior posts only mention air bags for height adjustments for rear suspension only. Is there such an animal for A-body (1967) stock "front suspension"?

Simply drop in. I don't think so. The problem is the shock runs through the spring. Unlike the rear springs where the shock is outside.

Now I know you can get kits that use airbags and move the shock outside of the spring. I think most kits can be bolted on after drilling new holes, the rest are welded.

Sure, you can get air bags for the front of your car. Call "Air Ride Technology". They manufacture air ride systems for A bodies. In this case you will "replace" the front spring with an air bag spring. This can be in combination with an integral shock absorber
(their Shockwave system) or with an external shock. You can also do the same with the rearend by replacing the springs competely with air bags.

I believe you were inquiring if you could stick an air bag in the front coil spring, that question was answered in the previous quote. However there IS a way to use an air bag on the front end of you car.

Something different to consider.

Thanks guys, I know it's not practical and the bags couldn't be installed in front like the rear spring/shock set-up. I was looking for an adjustable alternative for the front spring/shock set-up. Mike, from what I could find on-line was a "shock relocator bracket" then possibly a bag inside the spring. I'll research the info you gave me and I'll keep you guys posted. There has got to be a way to adjust the front ride height. I'd hate to purchase tires, rims, shocks and the stance no be exactly what I was after. I guess my another way would be to look thru past post and ask you guys.

Dan,

Air Ride Technologies has a shock/airbag combination they call "Shockwave". It mount in the stock location inside the spring pocket. Minor cutting/grinding is required. The combination is made with a quality billet aluminum HAL shock abosorber. At about $300-$400 each its expensive. A full four corner air ride with 4 way digital controller (the best) will run $2,500-$3,000.

With this you can lay the frame on the ground.

Have you tried looking for coil-overs? I think you can get them for GM A bodies. I wonder if they would work with tubular A arms?
