Chris R Sep 13th, 09, 9:01 PM Looks like tonights King Of the Hill was the series finale. Kind of sad to see it go actually. Dale still cracks me up.

I was wondering about that. I couldnt make out what kind of badge it was in his wallet, my most obvious thought was police but didnt see any significant writing on it (the shot was too quick).
classicfan1 Sep 13th, 09, 10:09 PM Somebody get the simpsons and family guy off the air, THEN we can get rid of King of the Hill
RyanNilcea05 Sep 13th, 09, 10:49 PM It was a pretty funny show though. How long was it on the air?

13 years. i missed most of the episode, because i was feeding my NCIS addiction over on USA Network.
depley Sep 13th, 09, 11:21 PM I would assume the badge means Boomhauer was a Texas Ranger
(They are in Texas how could it be anything else!).
I like how it ended with Hank proud of Bobby and side by side grilling steaks.
BillsCamino Sep 14th, 09, 8:12 AM Yes, that was a Texas Ranger badge that Boomhauer had.
RyanNilcea05 Sep 14th, 09, 2:57 PM Did they bring anything else in to replace it? They should have done what they did with the Family Guy and branched off a new series based on one of the characters.

That is what the whole king of the hill show was in the 1st place!

Wow, I didn't know that. What did it spin off of?
RAMBO Sep 14th, 09, 5:24 PM Wow, I didn't know that. What did it spin off of?
Not really a spin off (american dad isn't really a spin off of FamilyGuy either)- but Mike judge did Bevis & Butthead prior to King of the Hill

Right, Hank Hill was a character(neighbor) on Bevis and Butthead.
RyanNilcea05 Sep 14th, 09, 5:38 PM Oh wow! He was the one ******** off in my tool shed! :D
RAMBO Sep 14th, 09, 5:40 PM Right, Hank Hill was a character(neighbor) on Bevis and Butthead.
actually, that guy was named "anderson" but the voice was the same, probably who they based hanks charachter on...
B&B Still RULE.... I got a 3 dvd set for christmas a few years back. Might have to dig them out again for some review :)
PaPa Johns 77 Sep 14th, 09, 5:41 PM Oh wow! He was the one ******** off in my tool shed! :D
That's him! He became a little more sophisicated in King Of The Hill!:D
Thomas_Mac Sep 14th, 09, 6:10 PM I really think that The Simpsons should have been axed before King of the Hill. King of the Hill is being replaced by The Cleveland Show which IMO just wont be the same, The Cleveland Show just looks like another Family Guy rip off with the same stupid kind of comedy. Last year I thought King of the Hill was consistently funnier then The Simpsons or Family Guy. They should bring back Futurama!
novaderrik Sep 14th, 09, 9:01 PM Futurama is coming back- on Comedy Central. next fall, i think.
Hank Hill is not Tom Anderson- Mike Judge just used the same voice. King of the Hill isn't a spinoff from Beavis and Butthead- but there was a show on MTV for a few years called "Daria" that followed one of the secondary Beavis and Butthead characters and her family to a new town in Texas. it had it's moments, but was a rather boring show overall and wound up being aimed at the angsty teenage girl demographic.
Mike Judge has made a few movies- Office Space, Idiocracy, and a few others. he also had a show on ABC this spring called "the Goode family", and had a movie just come out in the last couple of weeks. he brought back Beavis and Butthead to make a hilarious trailer for it..

chevelledude71 Sep 15th, 09, 3:36 PM Now where am I going to get my propane and propane accessories kick? :(
rak1 Sep 15th, 09, 5:38 PM One of the best shows was King of the hill; I missed the last episode I hope they rebroadcast it. I’m also hope they bring back Futurama but at least I think they still have three new episodes to air but I'm not sure; I thought they bought 16. Here's hoping....

I agree, The Simpsons used to be great at one time. It was well written. It was clever and funny. But it jumped the shark ten years ago. And that's about how long it gone on past its prime.
