Any thoughts would be appreciated, also how often do they ever come up for sale?

What is the casting number and date on the heads? Have they been ported or welded on?

Those are just a couple of key questions needed to determine how much they are worth.

The range I have seen is anywhere from $600 to $3500 depending on condition and what has been or not been done to them.

Hey Kurt, thanks for the info. My dad sold a pair a couple years ago and I wanted to see if the guy still had them and what they were worth today. I'll make sure to check on the numbers and any work that has been done to them.

There weren't that many made so a good set will command a high price. I sold a pair back in the early 70s for $400 and have been kicking myself in the butt ever since.

Hey Todd, I'm not sure, all that I remember is the heads were dated 69 and were the rectangular port small combustion chamber.

Thanks again guys!

That sounds like 842 heads. If so, I had a set dated Aug of '68 that were unmolested other than heli-coils that needed to be gone through and sold them for $2500 about 6 months ago. :beers:

yeah the 074's are open chamber rectangular port, so they aren't that. Mine didn't go for as much as I hoped I guess because they had late 70 dates which made em 71 heads not 70 like I thought when I decided to sell em.
