Sorry if i posted this in the wrong area...

a friend of mine has a 73 blazer. after driving for a little while he gets a rattleing from the front left wheel. the area around the hub gets very hot to the touch on this side, while the other is normal.

Im thinking it is the bearing or something like that. any suggestions?

Have you checked for sticking brakes on the side that gets hot?

Have you checked the wheel bearings, including the third, inner bearing that usually gets forgotten on 4WD units?
