I have taken a good bit of weight off the front of my dad's Camaro. The front sits an inch or two high and there isn't much rise on take off anymore because its already up. I know I can drop it by cutting a coil or so but will I get any stretch for traction. Would v6 springs be a better route? All a/c and heat, wipers and motor, power brake booster, soon to be power steering have been removed. Its a steal head small block with the usual mods.

cut a coil and see if you like it. If you dont, I wouldnt use 6cyl springs. The 6cyl cars that I swapped to v8s ended up with sagging front ends and some would bottom out and hit the snubbers if the springs were really worn. I would install new v8 springs and go from there if its a street car.
