Ok boy's, it is that time of year again here in New England !!! I am planning a total front end rebuild this year !! I want to rebuild my front upper and lower control arms and am having a dilema in deciding what type of bushings to go with ??? Rubber OEM's , Polygraphite, Polyurethane ?? I do however know that I like MOOG's products and am going to replace my Upper and Lower Ball Joints with their versions. Also, I saw that Global West has a positive Camber Shaft availiable for the upper control arm to be able to run more caster on the A-body, for a better footprint and better handling ( They Say Anyway ). Now, I have been trying to follow as many postings on this subject, and am seeing a lot of these posts go unanswered !! I am hoping some fellow enthusists return some real world experiences that they can recomend on which way is the right way to fly !!

Thanks Guy's; graemlins/beers.gif

All I can tell you is that I've used polyurethane on previous cars, and liked them (except for the squeaking). This time around (I'm in the process of doing this myself now) I got the Polygraphite from www.p-s-t (http://www.p-s-t) so no more squeaks. Some folks like the rubber, but I've had no trouble with poly and selected them again.

I used the energy suspension polygraphite on the frontend of my 66 because I also heard that the urethane ones sqeaked and I don't think there was much diff. in price.I'm happy with them.now I just need to get around to installling the SSM lift bars in the rear along with new upper bushings.I've only had the lift bars 2 years now sitting on the shelf but it seems changing engines and tranny swaps always seem to pop up.

Thanks for the replies guy's !! I prety much figured I was going to aim for the grafite impregnated bushings. But it is always nice to hear some real world experiences with different companies products.

Thanks again guy's !! graemlins/beers.gif

I went with Moog for everything. They also have the offset shafts for the upper control arms. I wanted to keep the factory ride so I decided against the poly bushings.
