Lionel-n-Chevelles Sep 12th, 09, 2:46 PM 1964 - 1967 Chevelle 2 Door or 4 Door Models are a direct bolt in. There is a 65 Rolling frame for sale in PA:

Rusty Rat Sep 12th, 09, 3:59 PM I just put a call in to a Pa guy that had a 67 frame for sale. I will let you know when I hear back form him.
Brian
Thanks guys that info helps a ton :)
JWagner Sep 12th, 09, 8:12 PM For your own protection, get at least a bill of sale with the VIN on it or a title for that frame. Having a VIN on the frame that does not match your title can cause problems. It could come up if you sold the car and the new owner had to have it inspected to get it registered. That, of course, would come back to you.
Ugh ! I never even thought of that :(
Where is the VIN stamped on the frame ?????
I found a frame can someone let me know were the vin is stamped so I can validate the title / bill of sale ?
Thanks

Philip Sep 14th, 09, 11:06 PM On the 64 - 67 frame it is on the top rail at the mount under the drivers door area.
67shovel Sep 15th, 09, 8:19 AM Another spot to look is on top of the rear drivers side frame rail on the flat behind the rear end
Thanks to all, esp Aaron excellent link... pictures are worth a thousand words
Aaron Thomas Sep 15th, 09, 7:45 PM Dale is the one who spend his time compiling more information than I will ever know about the chevelle. He posts alot in the tag team section and with out people like him I would still be lost. Glad you found what you needed.
mactoast Sep 16th, 09, 4:07 PM I know where there are two 66 frames in Columbia SC.
One is already removed and still has a 12 bolt upper rear control arm hanging from it. The other is under a 4 door car, not sure on it's condition.
I don't think the guy will kill you on the price either, he has a ton of old cool stuff. I was thinking of buying one as a spare for my 66 in case of major wreckage.
Let me know if I can help.
