My 69 Chevelle has good steering componets. The rubber grease boots or dust boots are bad. Can someone point me in the right direction, to a supplier that sells the boots only.
Thanks guys...Ron

In the 25+ years I've been messing with cars that's one part I've never seen separately! I can understand the need, low miles, just time deteriorating the boots. Usually trying to replace them would bring up the "why not while I'm here" question and bolt on a new part. Interesting....

Ron,
Sometimes you can find that kind of stuff on the "HELP" rack at local auto parts stores, I was amazed at some of the stuff they carry. If not ask the parts guy at the counter.

Pep Boys has them as well as Autozone, Advance Auto Parts, Napa, etc.

I tried Autozone They had 2 styles. Did not fit good and were real flimsy. Gave up at that point.
Might try Advanced Auto tomorrow. I might go browsing a wercking yard for a few hours. Thanks guys

Energy Suspension has them in polyurethane. Much tougher, and if you get them in black, who'll know the difference.
I haven't put them on my Cutlass yet (I will when I put the tall spindle/big brakes on Real Soon Now), but I have a pair on the outer tie rod ends on my '79 RX-7. They've been on there, um, oh, 5 or 6 years now, I guess. No cracks, and they're even still red!
See http://www.energysuspension.com/chev2.html (ball joint boots are at the bottom)
