I have a 70ss and the build sheet that I got with the car is in really bad shape. I keep seeing posts of build sheets being in the seats. would that be behind the hard plastic part of the front seats. If so how do I go about removing it to check for another build sheet. And can this be removed and reinstalled without damaging the seats. I hope this is the right place for this question. Thank you all once again. Bob

I guess a build sheet can be just about anywhere. They could just as well be in the seat back as well as the seat bottom. To remove the plastic seat back cover , fold the seat forward to get at the two screws on the bottom of the plastic. Then you have to pop out the chrome push button in the center of the seat back as there is one screw under the push button. The pushbutton has two prongs/clips on the sides that have to be compressed inward. Use something thin to compress the prongs and pry out at the same time. After the screws are out lift upward as I believe there are two hooks at the top of the seatback cover. Sometimes the pushbuttons are kinda brittle and break when removing. The good news is that they are not very expensive to replace.
