yes the 295s will fit but no drag radials in that exact size.
After thinking about how hard it was too hook a 350rwhp ZR1 with 315 street tires I figure a 275/50/15 MT or M&H will be better with no worries ever on rubbing.
10" wide vs 12".

On an 8" rallye or Weld what would I need for BS? Car has Hotchkiss 1" drop springs, may go 2:. Body is aligned perfectly on the frame.

4.5" will work just fine.

15x8 4.5bs summit star whels here lowered 3 inches with m/t 275/50's.

fit great!

I used a set of 8" with 4.5" BS and as said they fit and tuck perfect. Can fit 3 fingers behind the tire.

How much room on the outside of the tire; at the wheelwell lip specifically?

Ill have to measure, heres an idea though. Shouldnt rub, plennnty of room. Did roll the lips though.
