just wondering if a 69 gto 12 bolt will fit in my 70 malibu with no mods. Also the guy is asking $300 but is all apart. Any help would be great, and any pointers on what problems to look for would be greatly appreciated. You guys have been great, Thanks for helping a rookie out Again!!

Yes it should fit.

a BOP (Buick, Old, Pontiac) 12 bolt will bolt up no prob, BUT the internals are DIFFERENT. Those internals are limited in choice and more $$ than Chevy internals.

It might be apart because of this reason.

I'd pass and look for a Chevy 12 bolt. $300 will get you a worn out carrier, bad axles, and hi-way gears, but the internals will be easier to find.

also if the rear is apart I wouldnt even deal with it if the bearing caps have been removed and not marked as to which side they go on.
