I have a 67 chevelle 396 I am doing a body off restoration. I bought the large front sway bar from opg, installed it,and the top of the end link is only about a half an inch away from the stud to the upper ball joint in the knuckle. The 396 is sitting in the frame, I have not put the body back on yet. What have I did wrong? How much space is between the end link and ball joint stud? Appreciate any and all help. Thanks Chris

My end link on my 66 is the original set up and it is also very close in proximity to the balljoint stud. I haven't had any problems with it.

The upper and lower arms move in unison so they won't get any closer to each other. They are joined by the spindle and move as a unit.

If your not concerned with originality there are two things you can do. You can use a slightly shorter end link. OR you can simply reinstall the end links with the bolt facing down towards the lower control arm.
