Remfg'd pump. part #206000 at Advance Auto.

Return line outlet (metal pipe, part of pump housing) on pump comes in a "U", returning under pump.

PROBLEM: return line interferes with lower bracket. Can't mount bracket correctly.

Some pictures show the return should come out in an "L", fairly close to pump, which would allow clearance for the bracket.

Any info/suggestions?

(Wouldn't the world be a better place if things simply fit when you buy them?)

My first suggestion would be to return the pump and ask for the correct configuation on thepump for the return line. This can be simpler if you have your old pump to show the parts counter person.

They should have pictures of the pump in their parts books.

If this is not an option for you, then maybe you can bend the return line enough to clear the bracket. I have in the past bent this tube making sure not to stress the tube where it is attached to the pump. The line is similar to a 3/8 brake line and takes about the same amount of effort to bend.
