I just noticed that the passenger side of my core support is no longer welded to the frame! There is about a 1" gap between the point where it was connected before. The car has not been in any accidents lately, and I am not sure how long it has been this way. Is there anything I need to check, or just have it welded back together?

Well, if I'm not mistaken  the radiator core support bolts to the frame using two rubber isolators (one at each side). I'm guess, from what you are describing, that your rubber mount is missing.

Most resto houses sell these mounts.

Your core support should not be welded to anything. It bolts to the frame with 1 bolt on each side and attaches to the header panel through the hood release/grille support bracing and fenders(2 bolts on each side)
