I have a noise (metallic chirping) coming from the front drivers side wheel area. It seems to happen after Ive been driving for about 15 min, and is fairly sparatic. It increases with speed, and is very noticible. Im stumpped. Any help?

Is the wheel's hub very warm to the touch?

Can you wiggle the wheel by pulling/pushing on the top of it in/out?

If so, time for some new bearings. If that is the case, be sure both races are not all cut up.

Is it disk brakes or drum brakes?
Check for a rock or some debree contacting the pads. Or just check and be sure your not hitting the wear indicators on the pads. graemlins/sad.gif

Good luck. smile.gif

Drums. i pulled the drum to check, and I see nothing wrong. I havnt felt the hub after driving it. Could it be anything else?

possible hard spots in the drum, is the drum new? Maybe take it to the machine shop and see if they can tell if it has hard spots.

Possibly a bent baccking plate. just bend it carefully back out of the way.
