My incorrect alternator just went out. Does someone make a alternator that I could order that looks like the original?
Someday I would like to find the correct core. But for now I need a repop.

Go to a local parts store and get a rebuilt for a 70. Most likely it will have a Delco case and look correct, dates might not be right though. If they don't have one with a Delco case try another store. Most of the cases will be Delcos from old units that were rebuilt.

What number do you need?

The LS5 was built in Dec of 69. Do you have one that might work for me?

Find out the number and I can check for you. I bought mine for $60.00 already done, just lucky.:yes:

Autozone mfgs a brand new 55amp alt that looks just like the original at same price or only a few $ more of most rblts.

But they also offer top of the line rblts too.
