Lately I've noticed that I've got what feels like wheel hop from the rear when I'm applying the brakes from relatively high speeds. It feels almost like it's 'bouncing' the transmission a little. I've got a floor shifter, and can feel it as well as hear it when I hit the brakes.
I've got a 2" dropped rear (shorter springs) with a 12 bolt w/ disc brakes, eaton posi, 700r4 w/ appropriate driveshaft, some crappy shocks back there, and a B&M megashifter.
Any ideas?
Sounds like your rear brakes are locking up or maybe you have a bad caliper back there that's leaking and getting on the pads (you did say rear disc, right). It could even be an axle seal leaking onto the brakes. A collapsed rear brake hose (the rubber one) might be a problem.
This would make it seem as if the brakes are grabbing off/on.
I'm not sure what you use as far as master/duistribution/residual valve with rear disc.
According to www.mpbrakes.com (http://www.mpbrakes.com) FAQ you have to use a 4 way disc combination valve.
see figure front disc, rear disc , master on the firewall

Did this just start to hapen?
Have you done anything to the brake system?

Didn't just start to happen, I've gotten enough of the other bugs out of my ride, so now this one is starting to bug me. smile.gif
It's been going on since I converted to the 4 wheel disc brakes. But, at the same time I did that, I also put the lowering springs on it, the rear sway bar, and did all the work on the front end as well.
I just thought of something - I think I have a slightly warped rotor that I need to get turned on the rear, because my brakes kind of wobble a little when I come to a stop, and I took all the rotors off and can notice a slight wave in one of the rears. I imagine this might cause it.
Before I bug anyone any further - let me get those things turned this week to see if that takes care of it.
Sheesh... I can be so out of it sometimes.
