Had a local parade in town the other weekend. I drove the GP, since the Chevelle gets too hot just idleing along. Anyway, near the end of the parade I stated to hear this thump, thump, thump. I'm paranoid anyway of something going to go wrong with the cars so I drop it in neutral and rev it. Same thump, thump, thump. I put it back in gear and the noise is still the same, I've got about a block to go and I'm thinking, should I pull off? And then the rest of the damn band starts to play and I realize the noise I've been hearing is a drum cadance from the marching band.

Similiar fear here also.stuck at a traffic light and smell raw fuel but can not pull over.Turns out it was a tanker refueling the gas station on the same corner.:o

This is just one more reason to get rid of those drums and switch to disks.

Reminds me of last Christmas.

I started hearing a very loud ringing in my ears. It didn't sound the same as the occasional ring in your ear that I have experienced in my lifetime.

In a very concerned way, I told that to my Wife. Her reply was, "Annoys the heck out of me too!" "Do you want me to tell the boys to shut it off?"

HUH-WUH??, I thought.

Turns out it was some sound effect on one of their new Playstation game. :clonk:
