So I am trying to finish up the install of my TKO600 and new 505 today, really wanted to drive it today. I have my clutch linkage all connected correctly, but when I push the pedal, the throwout bearing is not coming back out when I release the pedal. I have to manually go under the car and pull the clutch fork forward and then I hear a popping noise sort of and the bearing releases. I have a Lakewood scattershield, an adjustable pivot ball, centerforce dual friction clutch, and hayes flywheel, all is brand new.

I did go through and set up the pivot ball to the correct height I think, at least I am pretty sure I did it right. I am using a stock fork and a stock throwout bearing. I know when I put the throwout bearing on the fork, I have the tabs in it correctly.

What would cause this?

Thanks guys

Jeff

Would the throw being too long pushing the clutch pressure plate tabs too far cause this?

Are you using the scattershield plate with your blowproof and did you account for the thickness of it for your pivotball height?

Yes, I went through and completely set up the pivot ball height correctly.

As for the throwout bearing not moving, i took it out and had a second new one here, so I replaced it, and put the trans back in and this one is moving fine. Maybe the other one just wasnt on the fork correctly or got knocked around putting the trans in or something. Now that problem is gone, now its just time to pray everything else is right so I dont wreck anything on start up

Thanks for the help
