: Heart of Dixie show today
depley Sep 5th, 09, 10:58 AM Just got a call from Bill Burke, said it was raining like crazy, the parking lot at the motel was a river and lightning and thundering to beat the band.
this 2 and a half hours after they were supposed to start! He said I made the right decision staying home lol ( we had planned to go)
BillsCamino Sep 5th, 09, 8:44 PM The HOD gang are a tough bunch!
Didn't let a little moisture spoil any of the fun. Had a great time regardless...I think the car count was right around 60 vehicles.
Great to see y'all again.
Already looking forward to next year's show. :beers:
depley Sep 5th, 09, 8:59 PM ya home now Bill?
I am thinking of going down to Avenue East Cobb in the morning to their Sunday morning show. Starts at 8:30 am

I did the music for the show today, and my street was flooded when leaving home this morning. It never stopped raining the entire show, but we had a good time anyway. It was kinda neat to see the high-quality wax jobs beading the raindrops off all the rides.
BillsCamino Sep 6th, 09, 9:52 AM I did the music for the show today...
Randy,
I wish I would have known this. :o
I walked by you numerous times during the day and would have stopped to introduce myself. :(
FLASHED Sep 6th, 09, 10:00 AM It was a bit soggy but it was still a good show. They are trying to mmick the Peach State Show and did a damn good job of it. LOTS OF FUN!!! It was good to see everyone as well. Randy we would have introduced ourselves too but we did not know who you were.

The music isn't my normal gig, I was filling in for my brother, The Deejay on this forum. He and his wife are on an Alaskan cruise this week. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you guys, but I was a little uptight about keeping the music moving, and keeping equipment dry. Bill, I think I saw you at the Peach State show in June. You have a gold camino with a vinyl top don't you? A really nice ride as I recall. Next show, I'll try to get around to meet n greet and match my ugly face with the name.:D

If I'd thought of it, I could've used the PA to invite TC members to come by and say hello. I'm such a doofus.

No, the gold Elky you saw was probaly Dan Dolan's. I had the '70 Sports Sedan at the Peach State show...but only briefly. I sold it right off the show field Saturday morning.
At HOD I had my '67 blue Malibu 4dr.

I checked out your 4 door, nicely done. It was so dang wet, I didn't get to look at many engine bays.
