Just wondering if a rear license plate light was/is required for 67 chevelle. I cant see where it would go if it was. I cant remember if they had them back then. If its not then I can tell the cop,..Its not required...:D

I was just pulled over tonight, because I didn't have a light on my plate. The new ones are reflective, but I have an old black plate (original). I told the officer that I didn't think there was even one there, since it's an older car. They went to go look, and told me, yup there's no light there, but it's the law to have a visible plate from 50ft. So I told them I would go find a way to put a light on it, like the old round one I used to have on my old mazda pickup. After I went home and parked it, I went to look, and wouldn't you know it, there's a light in the center above the plate, but it's sort of flush and was probably so caked with dirt, they didn't even see it!
