I wanted to give a big THANK YOU to those of you who helped me out with my questions for making the "big" swap. I've changed my driver's side A arm before, but bolted a Chevelle arm, not a Le Manns arm...I know they are basically the same arm, and the only difference was that the Le Manns arm has 2 giant nuts for the side bushings, and the Chevelle arm has 2 smaller bolts. I also went ahead and bought a new ball joint for it. Then the next day I had to yank the passenger side A arm to replace the bushings. The bushing closest to the firewall was totally gone, metal on metal...not sure how long ago it happened, but I barely noticed it this past weekend. The bushing closest to the radiator was well on its way to making a break for it also. Well, that, I thought, was the hardest part. But it over all wasn't all that hard or bad to swap out. Slowpoke, Enrique, told me his dad put the bushings in the freezer over night...I did the same thing, but not sure if it had the same effect on me as it did his dad. The bushings I bought were in it's metal case/shell. I bought them from Auto Zone, and they told me they were bushings only, but came in their shells. Anyways, to make a long story some what shorter, my dad helped me out, and was a BIG HELP!!! We were able to knock out the old bushing that was left, then he brought out the new bushings that were in the freezer....we installed them....then I had to drill out the ball joint, just like I had to do with the driver's side arm.....then drill the holes on the arm bigger for the new ball joint bolts. bolted it on, greased it up, reinstalled it, and VIOLA!!! She's streetable again!!! Now I just gotta figure out what I'm gonna do with my fuel lines  lol...Thanks again everyone!!! graemlins/thumbsup.gif graemlins/beers.gif graemlins/hurray.gif

Glad you got it done, now it won't clunk as much. Dad's can be helpful at times. Even though we are old and decrepid, we sometimes know something, hell I'm getting close to 50 now and still ask my Dad questions about things I'm doing. I will be replacing the bushings in my front end soon. I already replaced the ball joints, and springs earlier in the year. Anyway glad you got it fixed.
