It can vary.... I just went through all of this a few months ago in ongoing research of this topic. I don't have my numbers handy.. but.. the problem is there is NOT JUST ONE 4 ROW 66/67 Rad. My 66 SS Convert. Automatic., that I just sold.. had an Original 4 core HD rad in it, never out of car.. the top tank was no diferrent in Size/Width from the Standard Radiator in my other 66's., but it was 4 row. I have now seen and sold 4 different 4 row Harrison 66/67 SS Rads. and it varies.. ie.. HD because of L-78 vs. HD because of Factory Air vs. HD because of ......

Then I sold my other HD 4 Row Automatic Harrison Rad. and the Top Tank for that one was CLEARLY wider.. about 3/12" wide. I have the measures at home.

Another Member and I have been working on this research for a bit...

That all said.. I am going to assume you are verifying the width of the wider version 4 row HD tank and i think it is 3 1/2"

The guy who has one says it is about 3 inches, now I thought a original 4 core was around 3 1/4, now really confused, any other help would be great as the "Great Search" goes on

Well, I think when we start talking 3 inches vs 3 1/4".. it's subjective measuring...ie., where one places the tip of measure and reads teh ruler.. IMO..have teh guy take a photo of the tape measure on top of tehe tank

Is there going to be a part number or any other identifying mark to look for

This would kind of go along with what an old radiatory shop guy, who has since died, told me.

My top tank is 2 5/8" wide at the widest part. Unless you are looking at the width of the headers of the core that the tank fits into, then its about 3 1/4" wide there.

The shop guy said I could either put a 3 row with 1/2 wide rows or special order a 4 row with 3/8" wide rows. He said the gm in the 60's used some 4 row radiators with the 3/8" wide rows. He recommended the 3 row with the 1/2" rows. Said less problems.

Seems likley there would have been a 4 row using the 3/8" rows and a 4 row using the 1/2" rows. Then there would have been two different widths for the top tank.
