buddyv Sep 2nd, 09, 10:23 AM No thanks...
novadude Sep 2nd, 09, 10:36 AM Those are COOL! :)
72ElCamino Sep 2nd, 09, 10:38 AM For some reason I kind of like them. Something doesnt look totally right on them, Maybe its that I am not used to seeing such a big gap between the spokes. I guess it needs to be bigger with a bigger wheel though.
animal69 Sep 2nd, 09, 11:11 AM As long as they come with a 5" backspacing and a narrower size for the front.
Maxfactor06 Sep 2nd, 09, 11:35 AM I like em!

1966_L78 Sep 2nd, 09, 12:17 PM I have never had a camaro or 71/72 Chevelle, but those (15") are one of my favorite OEM wheels...
I like the 17" version, BUT, Please include some more side shots (direct side, so we can really see the wheel on the car...
And since this is a Chevelle site, could we get some on a 71/72 Chevelle, or even a 1970?
And more specs please...
Only 17X9"? What BS? 17X9 should need close to 5.25" to 5.5" BS to fit a 275/40-17 all around on a Chevelle...
Jeffry72 Sep 2nd, 09, 12:19 PM I've always liked that sublte stock/custom look!
ulySSes Sep 2nd, 09, 12:49 PM What's the price range? I'd like to see a '69-'70 17" Chevelle SS rally wheel that's more affordable than what's already out.
Clay72SS Sep 2nd, 09, 2:08 PM Definitly an awesome look. Any pics of a 70-72?

BlksilveradoSS Sep 2nd, 09, 5:04 PM those look really good, i just wish the center cap didn't stick out so far, kinda throws you off for a sec. depending on price, i'd be interested
BillsCamino Sep 2nd, 09, 5:08 PM FYI...YO link in sig no worky.
Initial impression, I do like the wheels but need to see them in person before I'm sold. And like someone else mentioned, also one of my favorite stock wheel.
Alwhite00 Sep 2nd, 09, 9:20 PM I like them alot. Would I buy a set? Depends on the price, If they are $250.00+ a wheel I'll probably choose something else but if they are reasonable I would definately look into a set depending on the widths and BS available.
LK
72SS454Chevelle Sep 2nd, 09, 9:33 PM I like um. If they are priced right I would def be interested in a set.

Jeffry72 Sep 3rd, 09, 3:03 PM Cory from Yearone,
Quick question off subject. Have you seen this early 70's blue Camaro in person? Just want to know if it has a stock blue 4-spoke sport steering wheel in it? Wondering if they ever made one in that blue is all.
Jeff
Jeffry72 Sep 3rd, 09, 3:13 PM $199 a wheel or $699 a set of 4, just checked the website. Who'll be the first on there block to order. Seem's like a decent price.

YearOne Sep 3rd, 09, 3:59 PM Cory from Yearone,
Quick question off subject. Have you seen this early 70's blue Camaro in person? Just want to know if it has a stock blue 4-spoke sport steering wheel in it? Wondering if they ever made one in that blue is all.
Jeff
The blue car has a black 2 spoke steering wheel and column. I am not sure if it is original or not.
1966_L78 Sep 3rd, 09, 4:09 PM I like them, and sounds like a decent price... BUT, I don't think the 5" BS will work for me. My car is lowered (just Eibach springs), and even with 5.5" BS (on 17X9.5 wheels), the front tires are getting close to the fender lip. these will push the tires out another 1/4"... Not that bad, but I'd rather go the other way.
Sure, these "fit" all those cars, but most look like stock suspension (or 4X4s from the pictures :D ) JMO, but I think cars with larger tires look really goofy sitting as high as the cars you posted (to be fair, I can see you were simply trying these wheels on a variety of cars, for our benfit...).
Questions for Cory.
Any details on the "rear" clearance? Obviously, these will fit "stock" suspensions (and stock brakes, right?), but I think a good number of us do NOT have completely stock suspensions and/or brakes... It would be nice IF there were other specs to look at, before commiting...
In you signature it states:
15% OFF with Website Only Sales Code: TEAM15
Spend $500 or more and get an additional 5% OFF
or Spend $1000 or more and get an additional 10% OFF
Would these "discounts" still apply to the Pre-sale wheels? If so, thats a pretty good deal...
SCOTTS66 Sep 3rd, 09, 4:21 PM They look very good on the camaro, would probably look even better lowered.
Jeffry72 Sep 3rd, 09, 7:00 PM Any plans on making a 17x8?
bochnak Sep 3rd, 09, 9:00 PM Do they clear C5/C6 brakes?
PaPa Johns 77 Sep 3rd, 09, 10:48 PM The angled glamor shots are nice, but they still do not let you get a real idea of how they look on the car. We need a picture looking straight on at the car from the side to get a really good idea of the look of the wheel on the car.:)
Alwhite00 Sep 4th, 09, 6:23 AM You need a 17X8 for the front, 9.5 is pretty wide up there.
LK
How about a set of 15" on the front and the 17" on the rear ?
I think that would give ya a killer stance ?
If they match each other well enough?
T.C.
PaPa Johns 77 Sep 4th, 09, 12:36 PM Thanks for the additional side shots!
daveseitz Sep 4th, 09, 10:03 PM Hey Cory, will these wheels suck as bad as originals when it comes to getting them balanced? Why do I ask this, because the original rims are NOT hubcentric requiring that a finger balancer is used to get them to balance. If a finger balancer is not used the dolt at the tire shop will say "ALL OF YOUR RIMS ARE BAD". Would you like to ask me how I know this FACT?
I like the wheels but am partial to a 16" that looks closed to stock.
DougA Sep 4th, 09, 10:40 PM I guess I'll be the bad guy and say they look like crap, but then again I don't like any wheels bigger than 15",just my humble old fart opinion.:beers:

I'm on the same page as you. While they are interesting, I just cannot get into the taller wheels. Gimme a 15" wheel any day!
FLASHED Sep 4th, 09, 11:07 PM If they were 15 " I would have a set for my 72 ss elcamino. I also dont care for tall wheels.
Slick71ss Sep 5th, 09, 10:12 AM +4
Make them in 15" sizes with different widths & backspacing.
Even 16" as a compromise between the old school guys and the new big wheel guys would be cool.
Derek69SS Sep 5th, 09, 10:42 AM Even 16" as a compromise between the old school guys and the new big wheel guys would be cool.Since no performance car has come from the factory with 16s in about 20 years, performance tire selection in 16" sucks. 17 and 18" wheels offer the best all-around performance for commonly available tires.
M.Maner Sep 5th, 09, 11:06 AM Hey! Can somebody get one of the hypocrites..er I mean Mods in here? I think it was put like this in a post earlier this morning, that has since been deleted. "What part of Do not post ads in the Tech Forums do you not understand" I can't remember which hypocrite..er Mod it was,but it seems we have a bit of a double standard here. Anyone care to clarify which group of people can post ads in the Tech forums and which group can't?
Mike
novaderrik Sep 5th, 09, 1:19 PM i think if it says "sponsor" under your name, you can post ads wherever the hell you want.
i just want to know one thing about these wheels (ok, 2 things).
1) are they made in the USA?
2) how about a 5X5 bolt pattern option? these would look killer on an Impala SS..
M.Maner Sep 5th, 09, 1:34 PM i think if it says "sponsor" under your name, you can post ads wherever the hell you want.
..
Interesting...hypocritical,but interesting.
