Anyone ever put the 3" wide drum brakes from the front on the back?

If I remember right, didn't late '60's Vista Cruisers have extra wide brakes in the rear? Probably would be hard to find parts for, better off with an 11" conversion.

i have a 72, the wide brakes came off my wifes car when I converted it to disk, it was a 69

I'm pretty sure the drums won't fit.The bolt pattern is the same but the drum might hit the backing plate.Sorta like a wheel with a deeper offset. graemlins/clonk.gif

Yea, I thought about that, after thinking about it. The axle would have to be longer. The only reason i was even thinking about it was because I was putting the brakes together in the junk hole (garage)and I used the parts off my wifes front drums to build my rears, thats when I saw those nice wide shoes. Oh Well, I guess the city will have to move the stop sign farther down the road so I can have room to stop the beast. Thanks for responding!
