Hello all, I am still trying to get the 68 going. Haven't had much luck though. I have lowered my car w/ OPG 3" BB springs all the way around. It looks bitchin but when I went to bolt on my powdered 1 1/4 front bar from a 75 T/A it hits the tie rods?? WTF? I am confused as I thought this was the one to use? I will have more ? soon. Decided to go old school w/ stock type discs instead of tall spindles @ this time. I can't keep a motor together so $$$$$ is runnin low. graemlins/angry.gif Any input would be appreciated. Thanx, John graemlins/beers.gif

John,
Did you mount it upside down?

How tall are your sway bar end links?

I have the same sway bar for my '69, 2-1/2" lowered, and have the same issue. What I did was added length to the spacer tube between the sway bar and the a-arm. This seems to have worked, but I broke one of the end link bolts about 2 weeks ago and haven't had a chance to see if I messed up the geometry of things by spacing it out. I will keep you posted.

When you use the TA bar, you'll have to use longer end links. I have 3 1/2 inch tube links on one of ours. Check my link to see the ride height (it's the car at the top of the page). The parts stores carry them in 1/4 inch increments. You'll also have to turn the tie rod clamps down for clearance.
