Hi guys:

My 70 has developed an interesting noise. Once I hit 30 mph I get a mechanical clicking noise that sounds like it is coming from under the glove box area. Under 30 mph it is not there, over 30 there it is. It doesn't seem to increase in frequency with the engine RPM but then again the motor is a little loud and it gets hard to hear. The noise started after I jacked up the right side slightly to adjust the Alston Varishocks. No issue with jacking it up or anything. Just used a scissor jack on the frame, jacked it up enough to get to the adjusting knob on the shock and let her back down gently.

Car has a 540 motor, 2004R transmission, factory AC in perfect working order. Not sure of any more important info needed.

Maybe something in the speedo gear? The speedo does not jump and works perfectly and is accurate.

Any ideas are appreciated.
