I'm at the point in my restoration that I need to buy a set of front coil springs. The car is a 1968 Chevelle with a 396 BB, No air. I would rather have the car sit a bit lower in the front than higher. Can anybody recommend a Moog part number?? I fought with the the front coils spring height on my previous car and I dont want to keep taking out the springs to get the right ride height. Thanks in advance...

Why are the no a/c springs lower.....Are the w/ a/c springs taller.... Why are they this way Rizzi?
Could I get the no a/c and still run a/c?
How much of a lower stance do they give over the w/ a/c?

Correct spring non-ac is 5400. W/ AC is 5374. Both of these have longer free heights than the 5390 I just installed on my 69. Mine does have alum heads, intake and radiator. Had to trim 1/2 coil to get the ride height I like. Compressed spring length at ride height should 11" for these cars at factory ride height.

note that is not listed as per moog cataloging / they specify in their f2925 coil spring catalog part number 5374 w/o ac and part #5400 w/ac 396 s/s and sport coupe 1968.The site listed is not Moog.
The 5374 (1957 lbs. @ 11") is a much lighter spring than the 5400 (2171lbs. @ 11").
