Looking at replacing the upper and lower control arms...going with boxed lowers and adding a sway bar.
My question is, how do I remove the rear bushings (the one in the rear end) of the upper control arms while the differential is still in the car? Please take into account I have NEVER done this, much less remove any bushings.
Thanks,

might be tough in the car but you can try..i drilled out all the rubber with a drill then used air chisel to collapse the bushings then drove them out with air chisel and alternated with hammer and socket the size of the bushing,,hope this helps ,,good luck,,i have also read something about a tool to do this but dont have the info sorry......

I asked the same question just a little while ago and got some great answers. One answers I got matached the one you just got, which is not a bad idea. One of the the other replies suggested using a short pipe and a long bolt with washers. Put the pipe on the side where the bushing will pop out and use the bolt with washers to pull the bushing out. I tried it, and it works great. I would suggest that you do a search on "SS4speed" or "Bushings" to locate it. It has a few other good suggestions on how to do it also. The knowledge on this web site is just fantastic.
Good Luck,

I second the AIR CHISEL, 5 minutes and they were both out, getting them in was another story, we found get a plate but a bolt through it and tighten the plate to the bushing then smack the plate with a hammer, about 5 whacks and it was in.
Good luck. It took us all day to do my suspension, but we spent about 4 hours trying to get the new bushings in with homemade presses etc.
