I have 69 velle that I am in the middle of painting and there are some 72 velle disc brakes in the paper.

Should I go with these I have drums all around now just a stock Malibu, but I am dropping in a 755HP 540CID so I know I need more stopping power. If I do buy these what are they worth?

I have had fast cars before so I know when to brake and when not to punch it, I really don't want to spend a fortune on Wilwoods. This will be a street car/ 1320 car and I will not be carving canyons.

Thanks a million, Zach

I've bought sets that need complete rebuild for anywhere between $125-175. I advertised a set on here for $225 and had 3 people wanting them!

Anything over $250 is way to high unless everything is in working condition.

I assume spindles and calipers and the 2 biggies to get in this upgrade in that rotors are probably cheap at the discount I get at the parts store and pads and bearings go without saying to replace.

Brake hoses will be different, am I forgeting anything?

In addition to the spindles and caliper brackets, you will need the hose brackets for disk brakes, The correct master cylinder ( and booster), the combination valve and maybe the striker for the brake light switch (if you are upgrading to power brakes).

You can use the existing drum brake hose brackets with 69 Camaro disc hoses.

Man, I'm glad I picked up my front disc setup before it was the "in" thing to do. Got them off of a '72 wagon. Free. Complete. They're getting a third life now, even. The spindles are on the front of the Firebird in my sig now, with the Elky getting the F-body spindles off of the Trans Am that supplied the Firebird's rear disc conversion. Donor T/A? Free. graemlins/thumbsup.gif Rear discs on the El Camino now? Brand new Explorer setup from Currie. Nice parking brake.
