Hello all, thinking about changing my power brakes to manual disc/drum on my 1972 SS. Looking for the return spring and little bracket that attaches to the clevis pin. I see MPP has the push rod? Any help would be appreciated! Also the bracket welded to the pedal assy. for the brake light switch does the stay or need to be removed if removed what does the switch contact to close?
Thanks again!

Just wondering why you'd want to go from power brakes to manual?

Mike, my engine only produces 14 in. in park and 12.5 in gear. I have tried several boosters new disributor from D.U.I. and differant tune settings. First push OK second firm third hard. So new cam or manual brakes!

manual brakes can be easy to live with as long as you properly match the master cylinder top the wheel cylinders.

I also need a pedal return spring. Where can I get one?

I only have 10' at idle and my power brakes work fine with an 11" booster.
Just learned about the return spring and the little bracket on the pedal clevis pin on my 66 about an hour ago. Thought I needed to change pushrod, and then found I did not need to. So back in it all went.
I have manual brakes, does a power brake car not have the return spring?
The pedal bracket for the spring was simply a small flat piece with two holes, one for the clevis and one to hook the spring into. Thin, and fit inside the clevis on the left side of the pedal.
Pita to reconnect the spring.

I just cut & formed a screen door spring. Cheep & seems to work fine.

I need the same bracket it seems, I have a small say 3 inch or so spring hanging underneath but nothing to hook it too, I understand that the bracket hooks to the clevis pin via a hole for clevis to go through, About how long would this bracket be so I can fabricate one to work, judging by how long the spring is I would guess a little over a inch long judging by pedal travel and the amount of stretch that the spring would endure.
