just replaced the rear coil springs on my 68. On the ride home from work, right after installing them, felt a vibration when first accelerating/low throttle. And also when slowing down to a stop (between 10 - 0 mph). I am sure I torqued everything I removed on the rear. Checked(eyed up) the pinion on the ground and there didn't seem to be a severe angle. Just thought it might be a worn u-joint about to go. Really just curious if anyone had a similar circumstance.

Sounds like the rear joint is in a bind. What did you do to the rear besides the springs? Bushings,Boxed arms? A good aling will tell if the Thrust is off. This will put the joint leaning to one side of center or another. Ya start moving the old stuff around an she dont like it..

hey just an update an a search for any other ideas. Changed the u-joints. Were on the way out, play in them, also 4 out of 6 rings were broken or missing. No change in vibration will limp the vehicle to work and put it on the rack. Will also change the rear control arms. Doing this cause of something I did in the spring install.
