i've gota 77 elcamino that has been removed of all wires not required for drag racing, no radio, a/c, heater, wipers, etc. i've ben having problems with an electric fan keeping the engine runing for a few seconds then it would die. now i've been trying to convert it back to a 3-wire alt. and the only switched power i've got is a block for any accessories so i wired the alt. to that and the other wire to the ba. post on back of the alt. its charging the battery like it should be but the engine wont die. everything else will unless the fan is connected, at which point the fan will keep gion too. i've got other things attached to the power block but nothing else stays on. HELP please.
