I am in the process of collecting all parts i need for this upgrade. I am aware i will need a jeep grand cherokee 93 to 98 steering gear box, a different ragjoint, and the fittings for the hoses. My question is when i get the replacement ragjoint will it bolt up with my existing bolts, nuts, washers, etc or will i need to get the attaching pinch bolt, nuts and lock washer when i get the replacement ragjoint?
I guess what I am asking is can i use the original bolts etc to mount the new parts? Or will i need to purchase new bolts? By the way my car is a 70 chevelle. Thanks..

The rag joint from advance auto (if you are doing that one) comes with the fasteners. I would assume you would want the fasteners that come with the ragjoint if you pull it off a wrecked vehicle.

The rag joint comes with the bolts needed for that. The bolts that hold the steering box to the frame are the same ones that held the original. I used the GC hoses so I didn't need the fittings. I took the high pressure hose to a place that makes hydraulic hoses and had the the one fitting that goes into the back of the power steering pump changed to one that would screw into the back of the pump. About 3 bucks, done deal.
Sweet thanks for the help.

Not to answer your original question, but another hose option you might consider is to use
'80 Camaro pressure hose w/o-ring fitting ($14.00 at O'R****) and change the fitting in your pump to the later
o-ring type.
Worked great for my '68 Malibu. I had a spare pump that I robbed the fitting from.
The GC swap really improved the way my 68 drives.
What part of MS are you in?
Hope this helps,
Malcolm

I have ordered the adaptor fittings from lee. But thanks for the options. I hope this upgrade gets rid of the loose boat feel. I live in Pearl by the way..
