I own a 70 SS and was wondering where the proportioning valve is suppose to be mounted? My assembly manual does not give a detail pic of this! Is it suppose to be mounted to frame? or ?

on my '69, which is probably the same as a '70, the metering block is mounted to the frame almost directly beneath the firewall. There's a little bracket that attaches it to the frame.
