Is this a dual diaphragm booster? From what I remember Bill (BC) and others have said, you need to have some vacuum to operate them!

What I found out exactly, is that you need MORE vacuum to run them than a single diaphram one! Since the diaphrams are smaller and there are two of them, it makes them much stiffer! If you don't have the proper vacuum, then they are a real bear to push! I think I read somewhere that MP specs about 16 inches of vacuum to operate one effectively.

I just got a mp brakes power disk conversion for my 67. They suggest 18 pounds of vaccum 21 is ideal. I had to get an electric vaccum pump for mine. I only had 15 at the manifold.

Thanks for the real numbers redlined... and most performance cars don't make that much vacuum from the factory!

How noisy is the electric pump?

There is actually a group deal right now about getting the dual diaphram if we can get 10 orders in. Checkout the link: http://www.chevelles.com/cgi-bin/forum/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=31;t=000780
