If everything checks out...numbers, docs, etc...not a bad price. It always bothers me though when a seller goes on and on about originality, but yet there is so much changed. He mentions how the front seat cover is ripped but how he didn't want to fix it because he wanted to leave the car as original as possible. But yet it has a repaint, missing engine components as well as an engine rebuild, wheels, power antenna etc. And maybe it's just the picture, but the trunk spatter doesn't look original to me, I'm pretty sure I can see spatter on the vent tubes. Just sayin', it's either original or it's not...if it's a restored or modified car, just say it. james a larson Aug 28th, 09, 10:43 AM Thanks for the comments. Not to many cars out there with the pop, window sticker, and other documents. However, it looks like all these can be had for a price on ebay. So would have to see the documents in person. Wish I was closer to the car, the price seems good if everything checks out, like original engine, trans, and rear axel. Body has had minor repairs in the common areas according to the seller. Seller mentions F40 suppension package, didn't think this was available on a dec 65 car. What would you think if its on the window sticker? Why wouldn't it have been available in '66? oldchevelle541 Aug 28th, 09, 5:01 PM Greetings, I do not have a trained eye like many but after seeing interior and engine compartment I sense the new red paint is the honey that will attract buyers. Whats underneath that paint. I have a '66 SS396 Cameo Beige car with original lacquer. It looks good from 10ft but needs some freshening up but its like an old painting - it has a pateena. Its orignal and I know what I have. You need to see your car in person. Good Luck John | ||
