Ok, I mounted the front lower SPC contol arms and went to put in the QA-1's I have and they will not fit up thru the lower opening... Now what??
Is there a shock that will fit up thru the hole OR do I have to dis-assemble the whole damn show (again) and shove the shock inside the spring and try once more??

Are your QA1s adjustable? My SA varishocks needed to be installed from the top of my OEM LCAs with the spring, due to the larger body diameter.

I have the varishocks but same idea need to install with the spring from the top it was a real joy when they started leaking and I had to remove them.

Yup...
which is why I went with Bilsteins in the front. In, out, over and done with.

Ok I redid the entire front again and mounted the shocks to the lower arms first. I am currently using BMR springs in the front (I don't know the rate), but I do know the front end is waaaay low- Left side fender lip to ground is 23-3/8 inches and the Right side is 23 inches even... I'm running a 225/60R15 BFG TA on a 15x7 rally and the tire is tucked up in the fender about 2 inches. I want to get the top of the tire even with the fender lip or just slightly up inside it. The swaybar is also rubbing the tierod ends so it does need to come up some. I'm thinking I'll try the Speedway adjusters and see what I can do. I am running a JL8 style front brake system (ala 69 Camaro setup with Vette parts) so that everything will stay inside 15" wheels. All this is with SPC control arms upper/lower and stock spindles.

Do you have the spc spring seat spacers installed on those lowers? They will give you 2 inches of adjustment.

You definitely need to get the adjustment shim kit.
If you have access to a plasma cutter, you can cut rings out of 1/8" or 1/4" plate with a 5" outer diameter and about 3.5" ID and use those to shim the springs, Im not sure though if the SPC arms come with the aluminum spacer though. If they do then you can use the shims to raise the car.
Rule of thumb is that for every inch you raise the spring it will raise the car 2". So a 1/4" spacer will raise it 1/2" and a 1/8" spacer will raise it a 1/4". Just measure how much you need to go up and make a shim stack half that height.
