I had some issue's with my timing, which in turn caused my power valve to fail. After taking John for a lame ride:sad:, I finally got out today to fix it.

Amazing what a blown power valve can do to the response of a motor.:confused:

So here's where I got into trouble.

After getting it out on the road, and being back to it's normal roasting them in 1st, powershift to 2nd, and losing all traction,(thank's Jim A.):D riding through that till it's REDLINE time to shift to 3rd and letting off about a 100 or so.........


It felt like I was in slow motion.:mad:

I mean without the slicks, open header and 150 shot, I didn't even get a momentary feeling of the JIZZ dance.:confused:

No shakes, no rush, no nothing.:(

When you spin ur tires you lose all sensation of speed. One of the biggest draw backs of trying to make more power for a street car.

Take an ambien then go for a ride.:D I bet the feeling would change:yes:

It's contagious and researchers are still trying to pin point it's origin. Some thought it to be an STD but then all women would have it and they we stay quite when we ask for car part money, so that was found to be a big no. :sad:

SO, as of now there is no cure. The only thing you can do is build more power and make it faster to keep the virus subdued:hurray:

Don't beat yourself up, Dave. It was a good ride.

However, I feel exactly the same with my sled. It just isn't that much of a thrill to drive it on the street. I'm always looking over my shoulder to see what whiner is going to phone me in to the cops.

It's hot, rattly, and really loud. I have a work truck that's a/c'd, quiet and fuel efficient to take care of the daily grind. I think I've come to the conclusion that I really only want it as a race car. So this prompts a bunch of winter decisions and opportunities to spend money that I don't have.

At least with this addiction, something of value still remains, the morning after the night before. :)

Do what I do, find a passenger not used to a muscle car! When I start feeling bored and not realizing the power under my right foot, I take my girlfriend along as a passenger and watch her expressions! When you see your passenger holding their breath, it brings the feeling back!

My wife grabs the headliner or the back of the head rest and says OMG OMG....Parked or going sideways Dave.:D
