Hi I am considering replacing the AC in my 71 454 ss that was taken out by the previous owner, will this create any problem with resale if I choose to do so. The replacement unit is utilizing all the original dash componets as well as the original temp. and AC temp.control unit.

I would consider finding a donor car for the OE parts. However unless you are looking at a numbers matching all original car I wouldnt worry about resale of it, as missing or replaced with aftermarket might have the same affect.

If it is a original 454 SS car, original motor, restored type car, I would redo the factory A/C. If it is not a number matching car I would not worry about keeping it original. I would use a Gen IV system from Vintage Air in it. We are doing a factory removal and Gen IV install in the Bull Run Racer 68 as we speak.
