: Rushforth Superspokes on my '70 SS454...
musclecarjohn Aug 25th, 09, 12:14 AM These are off of my '69 Z/28 and obviously would work better on this car if A)the hoops were polished or B) all the chrome was powdercoated to match.
They are an 18x8/18x10 combo with smaller rubber than these cars can take, just thought some might be interested in the design:yes::

BB_Mike Aug 25th, 09, 4:39 PM Doh, I can't see pictures at work. I am wanting to run Superspokes with the light colors centers and the polish lip/hoop.

Check 'em out at home...what color is your car?
BB_Mike Aug 26th, 09, 5:36 PM I forget to check this out last night. I'll send you a PM if you have the time. :)
wills65 Aug 26th, 09, 5:47 PM Have you ever had a car that didn't look awesome? As always, the car looks great!!
Clint44 Aug 26th, 09, 8:04 PM Looking good,John. What size tires? I'm looking at some Rushforth LiveWires w/polished hoops & smoked titanium spokes for a project I'm working on. Will probably go with 17x10's on the rear with some 275/50/17 Nitto 450's.
FWIW,next time I visit my Mom's side of the family in Hollister,I'll try to look you up.
72ragtop Aug 26th, 09, 9:19 PM Well, I gotta say, you have awesome cars, and it's kool how you're able to switch wheels around, but, those wheels do nothing for that car, IMHO. Not a fan of the bolts, multi rib spoke look, even when it's functional, as in this case. Just looks all wrong to me. But, long as you like it, that's all that matters. Jim.

No problem Clint,look me up.
Those are 245/40's & 275/40's so yeah...rather small for this car, especially the fronts.
Jim,
I would agree with you,not my style on this car...I'm usually not a fan of exposed hardware but they work with the color of the wheel and my '69 very well...and those are the car they are intended for.
I so prefer the Rushforth Huntingtons I had built for the SS454,they work very well with this car.
Pate Aug 27th, 09, 10:35 PM I think they look good on the car. Better then being a "weenie" like me and getting TT2's.

I would agree. Beautiful car though. Get those '70 Z/28 wheels back on there!
BB_Mike Aug 28th, 09, 2:16 PM Got the pictures, thank you for sending them! I agree on the lip needing to be polished and perhaps some rear disk brakes. I didn't realize the center section looked so "large". I still think these are the top contender for my project.
I wonder if I can paint my bumpers to match the wheel inserts and that look good? Maybe anodize the bumpers? Mmmm tasy... Decisions Decisions. :D
docrocket1967 Aug 28th, 09, 2:33 PM WOW that is sweet
