Hi, I'm new to this forum and have been following it. I make a C5 disc brake bracket for First Gen F bodies.

What I'm hoping to find out is what model or Year of A body used a 1/2" bolt hole for the top boss of the drum spindle as apposed to the 5/8" hole. So far it seems a hit and miss issue. I have noticed the 64 to 66 as having the 1/2" more often that any other year.

Your response is appreciated.

Thanks

Todd!

PS Great forum.

Todd,

I am in the slow process of converting my 64 to 12" corvette brakes (already have the parts, so too late to goto 13"). I had a 65 parts car that had the 5/8 hole on the spindle. I also got a drum spindles from a 70 and that also has the 5/8 hole on the top boss. The only difference I found between the two was the lower two holes were different diameters. The 65 was 7/16 and the 70 was 1/2" diameter.

Great website by the way.
