On my 73 velle, are they the same? The end that attaches to the body on one side has I'll call an "extension"...it's fatter on one side. Are the left's and rigths the same?...previous owner replaced one, but they are both indentical I would have thought they were have been a mirror image of each...hence a specific Left and Rgith one?

They should be the same R to L, unless the 73-77 are different from the previuos years.
