Dave, that little guy holds the wires up and out of the way. It pushes under the upper "cup" and extends down the lower part of the mast. On the lower end, it's tucked between the mast and the mast support. Pretty confusing I'm sure but if you look under at it long enough, you'll get it.

I just put my dash back together but don't recall that. but is that the wire guard on your column for the turn single switch

This dash is a nightmare - wires are spaghetti and that's putting it kindly. :( Looks like I'm gonna have to spring for a new harness; I was hoping to patch up the original, but it's a mess. At least I got my new headlight switch in; hopefully that'll solve my flickering lights problem. I've done everything else ... :rolleyes:
