I was replacing the firewall insulation in my '69 Chevelle and found it hard to install the plastic christmas tree clips. I used a stubby phillips screw driver that I put four 1/4 inch flat washers on, put the screw driver into the hole in the clip, and used a hammer. Went right in. The washers were needed because I found the screw driver too long and it poped the end of the first one I did.

Warm them a little with a heat gun helps too. gary

Great idea I went through a few before I tried lube on them.

For lube, try dishwasher soap.
