Would I be better off boxing my stock originals and installing new rubber bushings like I did on my uppers ? I will be cruising and taking it to the track from time to time.

I can only supply the tools (information in this case), how ya'll interpret it is entirely up to you. That 7 page thread all about rear arms explains it all.

John,
Before I took my car apart, I was running a set of boxed lowers with poly bushings very similar to what those Jeg's arms look like. Personally, I loved it. I ran them with stock uppers that had rubber bushings for about 6 months, and the ride was fantastic. For the last month or so that I drove it, I tried boxed uppers with polys and really didn't like the ride or handling, but I will definitely be leaving the poly on the lower arms once I'm all done. I say put 'em in! You can always change them out later if you don't like them.

I have a set of the Jegster bars (SSM Lift types) and I would absolutely recommend them. They work great for my car. My car handles well on the street and no longer appears to "squat" under acceleration. Just kind of rises and plants the power. I'm using the stock uppers for now with rubber bushings. When I replace the uppers I'll make sure to use rubber bushings again.

I'll have to retract my 'like the Jeg's arms' comment above if those are in fact lift-type arms. Mine are just plain old lowers, but the bushing info is still the same.

Thanks to all of you for the advice and input. I will be installing these traction "lift" bars soon. They are Jegs part # 550-41046. I will have original uppers with rubber bushings also.
2k3Chevelle468, you have a great looking car.

Thanks Texas70. The car photographs well but I need to have it repainted. I used to check in on your upgrades from time to time. Keep up the great work yourself! I'll continue to check in on your progress.
